Whether you are an avid gardener or just beginning it is important to know which zone you live in. If you are planting bulbs in the fall then zone three to six is best planted during the months of September and October.

Plan early enough in the season what you want to bring in when the temperatures start to fall. A cold house does lengthen the growing season from that of gardening outdoors by trapping the heat from the sun throughout the day.
